WEST LEBANON, Ind. (CNS)—Richard Dale Allen, 61, of West Lebanon, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 10:30 a.m. Monday (Nov. 15, 1971) while working at Allen's Recreation Hall. Born March 24, 1910, in Fountain County, he was the son of Grover and Mae Long Allen. A resident of West Lebanon for 25 years, he formerly resided in Cates. He had operated a Phillips 66 Station in West Lebanon for several years until last December. He had operated Allen's Recreation Center since January. Survivors include a brother, Walter of West Lebanon; a sister, Mrs. Treva Morran of Paris, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery south of Covington. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
